As foundational AI's ability to synthesize grows, we believe their effectiveness is only unlocked by coupling models with agency. This comes from matching the growth in sophistication of model architecture with growth in test-time algorithms, primarily via tool calls that these models can invoke. To that end, we're building an engine, in every sense of the word, to build a truly autonomous agentic system. In our view, this starts with search.
